5 Days of Fun!

We had a great Friday! Students did great on the Name That Portion unit test! We also observed our radish seeds to see if we saw anything different, we didn't, but are hoping to Monday or Tuesday. We are busy working with logic puzzles and analogies! Do you know that students that score high on SAT's and ACT exams have high ability in logic and analogies! I tell you, Room 138 is growing geniuses!
A big thank you to Mrs. Underkofler and Jason as they helped Mrs. Rowan and Mrs. Yadon with our holidays around the world - Israel - on Friday! We learned quite a bit about Hanukkah, dreidel, the miracle of the oil, and traditions around this time! Jason and our very own Ms. Harris said the prayer as the menorah candles were lit! It was awesome to see and participate in all the activities! We know your presentations will be just as good!

Look at all Maddie and Zelma's gelt!
Tony gets ready to spin the dreidel!
This was so much fun! All the students enjoyed taking their turns, and most groups split all the gelt at the end!
Each student received their own gelt, and the games started!
More fun playing dreidel
Yes, those are latkes we are frying, and boy were they good with sour cream and applesauce!
We have been elfed, as we prepared our door for the holiday door decorating contest!

A big thanks to Dalton who told Mrs. Rowan about the $39.99 trees at Lowes! And did you know they had 50% off all the holiday decorations! Mr. Rowan has been very busy in the yard setting everything up this year! He is hanging lights tomorrow! I believe the Rowans will give the Griswalds a run for their money this year! (You may not know who Clark Griswald is.. HEHE!)
Oh my, this elf came to visit us this holiday season- Macey and Briley named him Peppermint! I know you have all heard of him by now, but here is his picture when he was hiding in our tree!
