Cultural Arts Day

We have been rocking Spirit Week in Room 138! Today is twin day and we all have a twin.
If you have time and want to join us we will be eating lunch at 12:00 on the field today.

Science Fair and Spirit Week!

Next Monday, students will bring information home regarding Science Fair. Each 5th grader will be required to participate and complete their own project. Students may purchase backboards from school for $2.25. This is much cheaper than any store in town!! The majority of the project will be completed at home. Please do not assemble your backboard until you have received the go ahead from your teachers. All topics must be approved by your teacher. Remember there is NO mold, fire, or other hazardous substances.

Next Monday also begins Spirit Week for our school! Please try and participate everyday!!
Monday - Backwards Clothes Day
Tuesday - Hat Day
Wednesday - Crazy Hair Day
Thursday - Twin Day
Friday - Stuffed Animal Day

Next Thursday is also Cultural Arts Day which will bring snow to Beauclerc!! It will be a great day of activities for us!

One more day....

We cannot say that loud enough around here!! One more day of testing for us and then we are done with the FCAT!!
If you want to join in on the fun our last day of testing, head on over to the Florida Department of Education and take a released 5th grade Science test!! See how well you do.

We will be back to a regular schedule on Thursday. Remember, we still have a lot of school left and a lot to do, so it is vital that you are here everyday and on-time!

If you haven't purchased your chicken dinner yet, you will be sad the day of the carnival. There will be no walk-up purchases for the BBQ. It is going to be beautiful weather, and the grill will smell SOOOO good! Don't miss out!!!

Let me say it again... WE LOVE OUR LAPTOPS!!!

Silent Reading waiting for dismissal! This has worked out really well for us!

We are having a great week! The kids are stoked about FCAT, and feel good about what they have done. We have a really long reading test tomorrow (2 sessions) so it may be a long morning for us. We are still working in the afternoon on reading, science, and math so our day is not totally lost. Today we had the computers, and you might not know this, but in Room 138 we have some surgeons! Ask your kids to show you their mad "surgery" skills.

Just a reminder, in order to attend the FCAT Explorer Pizza lunch, all of 5th grade Math and Science must be completed (with accuracy!). The deadline to finish will be next Tuesday at 8:00 am.

A big thank you for all the breakfast items sent in! It is so nice to eat in the room, relax, and then test! Tomorrow, McDonalds Sausage Biscuits!

You ARE READY!!!

This has been the best thing so far in room 138- laptops for all! Who would have thought?

We have really enjoyed our Laptop Wednesdays~ Last Wednesday we completed (3) Gizmos! They were all fun and interesting and helping us get ready for the big test!

Don't forget to get lots of rest this week- NO STRESS! You are ready for this test! We have prepared all year, and WE BELIEVE in you!! Rock it out!!

A few things to remember to help you out-

1. Try to keep your routine the same- don't change too much to prepare for this test!

2. Eat breakfast! Make sure you have something in your stomach (even if it is cold pizza!)

3. Think positive!

4. Bring something fun to drink after the test.. a nice coke, a sprite, etc!

If you have any questions about the testing schedule, it should be written in your student's planner. Remember the office will not disturb our room after testing, so no early check-outs Tuesday - Thursday and next Tuesday and Wednesday.

School Pictures Friday

Spring Pictures are Friday. This year, they are only taking pictures of students who prepay for their pictures. Envelopes went home with students Friday.

We will also be taking class pictures on Friday. Please make sure your student is here. Orders for class pictures will come home next week.

Yearbooks are still on sale. Make sure to get yours today. We are only ordering 400- and when they are gone.... they are gone!!!
