It has been brought to our attention that many of our students have brought their friend Mr. Calculator to class with them this year. While, later in the year, we will welcome this friend, right now he is causing GREAT confusion for our students trying to solve division with remainders.All Math work at this point should be calculated in the FIRST calculator - YOUR BRAIN!!!!
It is very obvious when a student is using a calculator because they have no clue how to explain their strategies when discussing the problem.
Make sure you are practicing your multiplication facts EVERY NIGHT at home! This will really help you in class with division strategies!
